DJI Osmo Pocket 4 is Here! Review, Unboxing and Upgrades
When I started Youtube years ago, I used to carry multiple cameras, tripods and a myriad of camera equipment just to film myself. Enter the DJI Osmo Pocket. This thing literally changed my life as a content creator. Until today, I can’t believe how much easier it is to vlog with the Osmo Pocket. This one small tool that fits in my pocket has replaced so much of the gear I used to carry.
I’ve had the Pocket 2 and 3, and when DJI Singapore reached out and said they’d like to send me the DJI Osmo Pocket 4, I jumped at the opportunity.
The DJI Osmo Pocket series is a line of ultra-compact, all-in-one cameras designed for creators who want cinematic, stabilized footage in a pocket-sized form.
At its core, each device combines a camera + 3-axis mechanical gimbal, which keeps footage smooth even while walking or moving—something smartphones struggle to match.
The new photo-taking capabilities of the Osmo Pocket 4 blow me away, 37 megapixel photos, up from 9.4 MP from the previous generation.

Conclusion
The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 is a device that I’ve been eagerly awaiting. It contains most of the upgrades I’m looking for, with a few surprises as well. The 107GB internal storage is one such unexpected surprise, the Slow-Mo video capture is fun to work with, and the 4K low-light capabilities are stunning. If there’s something I would wish for, it’ll be for a native telephoto focal length lens as sometimes I use the Pocket 4 to film products and people, and the 20mm perspective is not the best for these specific scenarios.
That said, I’m really looking forward to producing more content with the Pocket 4 and even if DJI Singapore did not reach out to me, the Pocket 4 is a day-one purchase for me for sure.
